SYC Applus+’s Galician Cold Laboratory is an official testing station in the area of international transport for perishable goods (ATP), accredited by ENAC, in accordance with that laid down in standard UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025 on general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories, to undertake the test measurements and/or verification of the global coefficient of “K” heat transfer, which characterizes the insulation of vehicles used for the transport of perishable goods (ATP), except for tank vehicles with one or more compartments.
Determination of the K coefficient
Test to determine the heat transfer coefficient required to obtain normal isotherm category “IN” or reinforced isotherm “IR”. In general this applies to new units or prototypes.
