Very soon it will be six years since Bueu’s PTI station, located at Castiñeiras Business Parke, started operating. During this time, the increase in inspections has been constant, reaching a rate of 10% per annum.
This station mainly covers the areas of O Morrazo de Cangas and Moaña, as well as Bueu, avoiding having to make many trips to Pontevedra and Vigo to undergo inspection. Last year more than 23,000 inspections were performed, of which 3,500 were industrial vehicles and 1,500 motorcycles and mopeds.
This data highlights the importance of the stations’ location, which avoids unnecessary disruption, and to a large extent ensures that a significant number of vehicles circulate with their inspections in order and helps reduce the accident rate. Bueu’s PTI station has two full inspection lines. To meet growing demand, this month the station has increased its operating hours, extending the service from Monday to Friday until 2 p.m. in the morning and 7.30 p.m. in the afternoon, and adding Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.
