All required documentation such as the Model 1, Model 2, Model 3 (electronic TIT) and the vehicle registration document or log book must be shown in the office of the centre where the inspection will be carried out.
At SYC Applus+ we check that the compulsory insurance is in force using a telematics connection with the insurance company’s database. However we recommend that proof of payment is brought along because if there is a failure in communications, the office of the technical inspection centre will require proof of the mandatory insurance and that it is in force.
Remember that to prove an insurance policy by means of a payment receipt, the receipt must contain at least details of the insurance company, the registration plate of the vehicle, the duration of the policy and an indication of the type of cover associated with the mandatory insurance. (Article 14 of the regulations for compulsory insurance for civil responsibility in the driving of motor vehicles).
