The event was presided over by the mayor of Nigrán, Juan Gonzalez; the Regional Minister of Economy, Opportunities and Industry, Francisco Conde, as well as the State delegate in the Consortium of the Custom-Free Zone of Vigo, Teresa Pedrosa, and the chairman of the Fomento de Iniciativas Group, Amador de Castro.
The new station has three work lines, one for cars and two universal ones. This way service will be provided to the towns of Nigrán, Baiona and Gondomar, thus easing the pressure from the stations in Vigo and Porriño. In fact, it is estimated that the activity will reach 22,000 annual checks, to increase to 55,000 checks by the year 2020.
The opening hours are from Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. and from 4.00 p.m. To 7.30 p.m. Saturdays from 8.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.
