The Regional Minister of Economy and Industry, Francisco Conde, visited the facilities of the Espiritu Santo Centre, where we have shown him first-hand how the new Cold Laboratory of Galicia works, one of the most advanced centres of Europe in technological matters and for certification and approval.
On this visit, Conde said that this new Cold Laboratory in Galicia “places the company Supervisión y Control at the forefront of technology,” whichmeans it has positioned itself among the most advanced facilities in the world in this sector. The Regional Minister of Economy and Industry said that the new unit specialised in the approval and review of refrigerated vehicles will mean “significant cost and time savings” for both carriers and companies as well as chassis builders, carrying out in Galicia tests that until now could only be undertaken in two other single points of Spain and benefiting around 300 vehicles a year. In addition, Conde said these certifications can even become an extra guarantee of quality for the Galician food products on their way to their internationalisation. During the visit, the head of Economy and Industry said that “safety and respect for the environment, the lines of work of SYC itv, are the two main areas where it is focusing its efforts in the automotive industry.” The opening ceremony was attended by the mayor of Sada, Ernesto Anido; the president of the Provincial Council, Diego Calvo; the delegate of the Xunta (regional government) in Galicia, Belen do Campo; and the president of the Confederation of Employers of A Coruña, Antonio Fontenla, among others.
